PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain a moving performance of a power transmission member over a long term, and thereby maintain a good operation of a clutch mechanism.SOLUTION: A fishing reel includes a power transmission member which is supported by bearings 24A, 24B rotatably and movably in an axial direction of a spool spindle 5, and which is brought into a fishing line winding state of being moved to a spool 6 side and transmitting a rotary driving force from a handle 10 to the spool spindle 5, and a spool-free state of being moved to an opposite side to the spool 6 side and cutting off the rotary driving force. An outer diameter part of the power transmission member is formed in large diameter parts 26a, 27a and small diameter parts 26b, 27b.
