The present invention relates to a method for predicting the life-span or evaluating the muscular aging status by measuring age-related movement of Caenorhabditis sp., and a method for screening chemical compounds and genes involved in the regulation of aging using the same and more specifically, to a method for predicting the life-span or evaluating the muscular aging status by measuring age-related movement of Caenorhabditis sp., the method comprising the steps of: (a) culturing Caenorhabditis sp. on a bacteria-coated medium (b) transferring the Caenorhabditis sp. cultured in the step (a) at regular intervals on a bacteria-non-coated medium, and then measuring the maximum locomotion velocity (MV) of the Caenorhabditis sp. and the mitochondrial morphology and (c) comparing the maximum locomotion velocity (MV) and the mitochondrial morphology, measured in step (c) to the life-span to predict the life-span of the Caenorhabditis sp. or evaluate the muscular aging status, and to a method for screening chemical compounds and genes involved in the regulation of aging using the same.
