PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intraocular lens insertion instrument capable of being suitably put in an in-use state from a storage state.SOLUTION: The intraocular lens insertion instrument including: an insertion part formed with an inner wall for folding an intraocular lens and adapted to insert the intraocular lens folded from an incised wound of an eye a cylinder body part provided with push means for pushing the intraocular lens placed on an axis movably in forward and backward axial directions a restriction member attached to the cylinder body part to restrict movement of the intraocular lens at least in the axial directions without applying stress outside the axis and a release member including a contact portion for releasing the restriction of the intraocular lens by the restriction member and contacting and pushing the intraocular lens onto the axis from outside the axis for movement, wherein the release member includes a contact portion to be brought into contact with the intraocular lens when the restriction by the restriction member is released, the contact portion has a contact surface as a setting surface where the intraocular lens released by the release member from being restricted is placed when pushed by the pushing means.COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT【課題】 眼内レンズの保管状態から使用状態へと好適に移行できる眼内レンズ挿入器具を提供できる。【解決手段】 眼内レンズ挿入器具は、眼内レンズを折り曲げる内壁を有し眼球の切開創から折り曲げられた眼内レンズを挿入する挿入部と、軸上に置かれた眼内レンズを押し出す押出手段が軸方向に進退移動可能に設けられた筒部本体と、筒部本体に取り付けられる規制部材であって、軸外で応力を加えずに少なくとも軸方向への眼内レンズの移動を規制する規制部材と、規制部材による眼内レンズの規制を解除して眼内レンズを軸外から軸上へと移動させるために眼内レンズに当接して押力を加える当接部を備える解除部材と、解除部材にて規制が解除された眼内レンズに対して、当接部の当接面が押出手段による押出時に眼内レンズが載置される載置面として用いられる。【選択図】 図5
