Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf eine Verpackungsmaschine (1) zum Verpacken von Produkten (2), insbesondere von Lebensmitteln (2), wobei die Verpackungsmaschine (1) wenigstens eine Verpackungsstation (3) zum Erzeugen von Produkte (2) aufnehmenden Verpackungen (5) und wenigstens eine Hochdruckbehandlungsstation (17) zur Hochdruckbehandlung der in den Verpackungen (5) befindlichen Produkte (2) aufweist. Die Erfindung zeichnet sich dadurch aus, dass eine zentrale Steuerung (28) für die Verpackungsstation (3) und die Hochdruckbehandlungsstation (17) vorgesehen ist.
