Provided is a use of a TaNAC2 protein and an encoding gene thereof, namely, a method for improving the absorption and transportation of nitrogen by a plant and/or the efficiency of nitrogen assimilation, comprising the following steps: an encoding gene of the TaNAC2 protein as shown in SEQ ID No.4 is introduced into an initial plant so as to obtain a transgenic plant.Linvention concerne une utilisation dune protéine TaNAC2 et dun gène codant de celle-ci, cest-à-dire un procédé pour améliorer labsorption et le transport dazote par une plante et/ou lefficacité dassimilation de lazote, lequel comprend les étapes suivantes: un gène codant de la protéine TaNAC2, tel que représenté dans SEQ ID N°4, est introduit dans une plante initiale de manière à obtenir une plante transgénique.
