The spinal cord stimulation can be transcutaneous and/or epidural. The electrical stimulation, alone or in combination with pharmaceuticals can be applied to facilitate restoration of motor control and/or force generation in subjects suffering with spinal cord injury and/or as other neurological injury and illness that effects motor control of the hand or paw.
