PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain excellent visibility even without providing scattered grooves on a needle surface, and to thereby reduce a boring pain to a patient by reducing puncture resistance, in a puncture needle for an ultrasonic wave which is visible under ultrasonogram, concerning a medical puncture needle.SOLUTION: A long linear groove 2 is formed in a needle length direction corresponding to a position 1b closest to a needle base side of a taper cut surface 1a of a needle tip, on the outer peripheral surface of a puncture needle 1. Hereby, a needle contour can be viewed thickly and clearly as an ultrasonogram, and puncture resistance can be reduced to thereby reduce a boring pain.【課題】医療用の穿刺針に関し、超音波画像下で視認できる超音波用穿刺針において、針表面に点在的な溝を設けないでも視認性の優れたものとし、これにより穿刺抵抗を小さくして患者にとって穿刺痛を低減できるようにする。【解決手段】穿刺針１の外周面に、針先のテーパカット面１ａの最も針基側位置１ｂに対応して針長方向に長い直線状の溝２を形成するようにして、超音波画像として針の輪郭が太く明確に視認できると共に、穿刺抵抗を低減でき、穿刺痛を低減できるようにした。【選択図】図１
