PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a watering control device the cost of which can be suppressed and the water saving performance of which can be further increased.SOLUTION: A watering control device comprises: an attaching base 411; a pair of metal balls 412A,412B; translucent covers 413A,413B; a shield band 414 which shields one metal ball 412A to keep it from direct insolation; thermocouples 415A,415B which detect the temperature of one metal ball 412A corresponding to scattered insolation and the temperature of the other metal balls 412B corresponding to global solar radiation; drive control means for calculating a temperature difference corresponding to normal direct insolation using the temperature of the pair of metal balls 412A,412B detected by the thermocouples 415A,415B, and driving the watering apparatus when the calculated temperature difference corresponds to normal direct insolation which requires preset watering, or higher.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
