The absorbent body has: an absorbent core (31) having an absorbent material and a core wrap (32) comprising a non-woven fabric. The surface sheet has: a first layer (111) comprising a non-woven fabric and a second layer (112) arranged further on the non-skin-facing surface side than the first layer and comprising a non-woven fabric including a fiber having a thicker diameter than the first layer. The rear-side region has: a compression region (51) having a compression section arranged therein and a non-compression region (52) not having a compression section arranged therein. The compression section is provided in the absorbent core and the surface sheet and the non-compression region continuously extends from one end of the absorbent body to the other end thereof in the width direction (W).
