A rotating vertical racking system for growing plants, the system comprising: a frame； a drive mechanism coupled to said frame； and a plurality of racking trays coupled to said drive mechanism, each of said racking trays being capable of supporting at least one plant； wherein said drive mechanism is configured to rotate said plurality of racking trays. The system may be powered by water.
