The present disclosure is related to an evaluation and diagnosis system for balance problems in humans which operates through the head movements of a subject under study, comprising a data acquisition unit from which it is possible on one hand, stimulate head movements of a subject under study, and on the other hand, collect the generated information for further analysis and an information processing unit in which, by implementing an identification algorithm, it is possible to determine the resulting displacements in a vertical position of the head of a subject under study when the subject is subjected to a stimulus-response process, to thereby being able to assess the stability of the subject and also refers to a method for the application of the proposed system.La presente invención se refiere a un sistema para evaluación y diagnóstico de problemas de equilibrio en seres humanos, de los del tipo que opera a través de los movimientos de la cabeza de un sujeto en estudio, que se comprende de una unidad de adquisición de datos a partir de la cual es posible, por un lado estimular los movimientos de la cabeza de un sujeto en estudio, y por otro, recopilar la información generada para su ulterior análisis y de una unidad de procesamiento de información, en la cual a través de la implementación de un algoritmo de identificación es posible determinar los desplazamientos resultantes en una postura vertical de la cabeza de un sujeto en estudio cuando éste es sometido a un proceso estímulo-respuesta, para con ello estar en condiciones de evaluar la estabilidad de dicho sujeto, y también se refiere a un método para la aplicación del sistema propuesto.
