According to an embodiment of the present invention, the rotary brush cutter includes: a working rod extended in the longitudinal direction； a rotating rod extended in the longitudinal direction and connected to one end of the working rod to rotate on the working rod； a cutting unit connected to the rotating rod for rotation by having a blade on a side； an engine unit providing power for rotating the cutting unit； a holder including an accommodation unit to which the engine unit is fixed, wherein the holder is wearable to the body of a worker； a cable connected to the working rod and engine unit and transferring the power of the engine unit to the cutting unit； a motor installed in a connection part of the working rod and rotating rod and providing power for rotating the rotating rod； and a handle installed on the outer circumference of the working rod and including a switch operating the engine unit and motor.
