The invention provides a carotid artery blood pressure and its pulse wave measuring device and system for calculation of augmentation index and carotid artery inner diameter and method for doing so, where said carotid artery blood pressure and its pulse wave measuring system comprises a device consisting of at least one securing meanis for attaching the device to the user's body, actuator and at least one force sensor. Said system further comprises analog to digital sygnal converter, a procesor means for executing the motor control software and calculating the augmentaction index and carotid artery inner diameter, where the program is stored on the computer readable data carrier.
