Packaging for a suture, comprising:a base (1) comprising a receiving zone (6, 8) for receiving a suture,a lid (62),means for locking the lid (62) to the base (1), comprising a first slot (58) formed in one among the base (1) and the lid (62), and a first flap (72) formed in the other among the base (1) and the lid (62),wherein the first flap (72) has a shape and dimensions adapted to:be engaged through the first slot (58) when the lid (62) has a first orientation with respect to the base (1), thenbe blocked athwart the first slot (58) by rotation of the lid (62) from the first orientation to a second orientation of the lid with respect to the base in which the lid covers at least in part the suture receiving zone (6, 8).
