The present invention relates to a use of aLitchi chinensisflower extract for manufacturing compositions for inhibiting tyrosinase by applying theLitchi chinensis flower extract to a subject needed to inhibit tyrosinase activity. TheLitchi chinensisflower extract is prepared by the steps of drying aLitchi chinensisflower material to obtain a dried material, and extracting the dried material by a solvent to obtain theLitchi chinensisflower extract.
