The present invention provides a pharmaceutical formulation of an inhibitor of poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP) enzyme. The pharmaceutical preparation according to the present invention can be used for the treatment and prevention of cancer and the treatment of neurotrauma and neurodegenerative diseases. PARP inhibitors efficiently deliver inhibitors to the release of cancer cells or other cells and inhibitors within cells, which are performed in the form of nanoparticles. In the treatment of cancer, it results in the killing of tumor cells, while in the treatment of neurotrauma and neurodegenerative diseases it preserves cell function.
