A method for forming hydrogel dressings and a hydrogel dressing fabricated thereby are disclosed. The hydrogel dressing includes a hydrogel layer, a first pressure sensitive adhesive layer, a first ventilation material film layer, a second pressure sensitive adhesive layer, a second ventilation material film layer and at least one release paper. With the help of an extra ventilation material film layer during the processing of the hydrogel dressing, yield rate of the hydrogel dressing can be improved.
