Embodiments are related to a chair with electromechanical reclining features, rocking features, and also lift-assist features to facilitate a persons removal from and entry into the chair. The present embodiments also relate to a rocking, reclining chair that includes a rocking motion lock-out feature to enable safe usage of a lift-assist feature included within the chair to move an occupant upwards towards a standing position.
