A casket (10) comprises a casket shell (12), a casket lid (14, 16) closeableupon the shell and deployable structure (20), operably associated with eitherthe shell (12) or the lid (14, 16), and integrally formed therewith, which,when deployed, defines a memorial surface adapted to have placed thereon itemsof memorialization for display. The deployable structure (20) is so configuredand arranged such that the items of memorialization must be removed therefromwhen the structure is not deployed. In one aspect, the deployable structure(20) can be operably associated with said shell (12). In another aspect, thedeployable structure (20) can be operably associated with the lid (14, 16).
