Aspects of an orthopedic walking boot are disclosed. The walking boot includes a base supporting a users foot. The orthopedic walking boot includes a support assembly extending from the base to support the users lower leg. The orthopedic walking boot includes an outer sole including a walking surface having first and second materials. The second material has a greater shock absorbing characteristic less than the first material along at least a portion of the outer sole.
