PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide liniments for controlling resident skin bacteria which can reduce the number of pathogenic bacteria while suppressing lowering the number of probiotic bacteria of resident skin bacteria.SOLUTION: A liniment for controlling resident skin bacteria contains magnesium lactate and/or calcium lactate as an active ingredient. Preferably, the resident skin bacteria are Staphylococcus epidermidis and Staphylococcus aureus.
