The use of a substance belonging to the class of atypical retinoids for the topical treatment of acne is described. In particular the effects on an animal model for this skin disease of a pharmaceutical or cosmetic compound for topical use containing adamantyl methoxydiphenyl propenoic acid formulated in a gel are demonstrated.Linvention concerne lutilisation dune substance appartenant à la classe des rétinoïdes atypiques, destinée au traitement de lacné.
