PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid a collision of an X-ray generating unit with an obstruction when the X-ray generating unit moves in an X-ray diagnostic apparatus including the X-ray generating unit moving by following the movements of an X-ray detector.SOLUTION: An X-ray diagnostic apparatus includes an obstruction detecting unit for detecting an obstruction in a direction where an X-ray generating unit moves.
