According to the present invention, a surgical retractor comprises: a fixation ring placed on skin around an operation hole incised and formed for operation, having an exposure hole through which the operation hole is exposed, and having a plurality of fitting holes as an outer circumferential surface is introduced and upper and lower surfaces are penetrated； and a protection unit. The protection unit includes: an insertion ring having a penetrated center and inserted into the operation hole； a protrusion part extended from the insertion ring to protrude to the outside of the operation hole, and protecting an incised portion of the operation hole； a plurality of fitting units separated from each other to protrude at an end of the protrusion part to be inserted into the fitting hole； and a locking unit outwardly extended from an end of the fitting part to be placed between one side surface of the fixated ring and the skin, and locked to the one side surface of the fixated ring to be fixated. According to the present invention, while the incised and formed operation hole is expanded for operation, more expansion is prevented after a predetermined expansion, thereby protecting the operation hole from unnecessary opening and tearing, protecting the operation hole from contact of operation tools, and also continuously maintaining opening of the operation hole.
