A method of treating or preventing a disease associated with a secondary infection in a subject infected with a pathogen is provided. The method comprises administering to the subject a therapeutically effective amount of an anti-pathogenic agent directed towards the pathogen and a therapeutically effective amount of an agent which down-regulates at least one extracellular matrix-associated polypeptide.L'invention concerne un procédé pour traiter ou prévenir une maladie associée à une infection secondaire chez un sujet infecté par un agent pathogène.
