Disclosed is an immunogenic composition for inducing an immune response in a subject against three or more dengue virus serotypes comprising, an intradermally (ID) administered immunogenic mixture of predetermined ratio of at least three live, attenuated dengue virus serotypes wherein the immunogenic composition comprises at least one dengue-dengue chimera and three or more different dengue virus serotypes. Also disclosed is the use of an immunogenic mixture of three or more live, attenuated dengue viruses, the immunogenic mixture comprising at least one dengue-dengue chimera and three or more different dengue virus serotypes in the manufacture of a single immunogenic mixture for inducing an immune response in a subject in need thereof wherein said immunogenic mixture is formulated for administration to a subject.
