A distribution manifold assembly (44) for an agricultural seeder (10), the manifold assembly (44) comprising a distribution manifold (50) and a lid (60), an inlet opening (52) defining an axis (54), an access opening (56) opposite the inlet (52) and a plurality of radially extending outlet ports (62). The lid (60) for the access opening (56) comprises a mounting member (74) adapted to couple the lid (60) to the manifold (50) to close the access opening (56). The lid (60) further comprises a cone (72) coupled to the mounting member (74) and extending axially toward the inlet opening (52) of the manifold (50) when the lid (60) is coupled to the manifold (50) and a single piece retainer (110) adapted to secure the cone (72) to the mounting member (74) without additional fasteners.
