PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cane assisting tool and a cane which can be self-supporting and have excellent stability and handleability when touching the ground or the like. SOLUTION: A cane 10 which is an example of a cane to which the present invention is applied includes a cane main body 20 and a cane assisting tool 30. Further, the cane body 20 is provided with a lock piece 230 at an upper position separated from the tip thereof by a certain distance. The lock piece 230 is fitted with the ground contact position groove 42b or the storage position groove 43b provided on the holder 40, and the auxiliary leg 51 in the open form of the cane auxiliary tool 30 is fixed or stored at the ground contact position.
