This invention refers to the inhibition of the synthesis of oxca crystals by the addition of sulfated polysaccharides extracted from edible marine macroalgae birdiae. There is still no solution to prevent urolitigation caused by oxca crystals and this invention may be an important alternative to use. To this end, polysaccharides were obtained by dehydration, crushing, depigmentation and delipidation, sonication, ethanolic extraction proteolysis and centrifugation and separated into 4 -fractions (f -0.25; F -0.5;F -0.75 and f -1.0) through ion exchange chromatography of cellulose. It has been found that all fractions are formed only by galactose and anidruglactose. PS inhibited important steps in the synthesis of oxca crystals,Like nucleation and aggregation, the zeta potential of crystals was reduced and modification of the load distribution was found in relation to the control group. The data obtained through electronic scanning microscopy (mev) and dispersive energy spectroscopy (eds) revealed large variations in the distribution of oxygen and calcium atoms on the surface of crystals in the presence of fractions. The present invention decreases the total amount of oxca crystals formed, inhibits synthesis, the size of these, changes their morphology and forms fewer monohydrogenated, damaging and associated crystals of urolitigase.a presente invenção refere-se à inibição da síntese de cristais de oxca através da adição de polissacarídeos sulfatados extraídos da macroalga marinha comestível gracilaria birdiae. não existe ainda uma solução para impedir a urolitíase causada por cristais de oxca e esta invenção pode ser uma alternativa importante a ser utilizada. para tal, os polissacarídeos foram obtidos por desidratação, trituração, despigmentação e delipidação, sonicação, proteólise extração etanólica e centrifugação e separados em 4 frações (f-0.25; f-0.5; f-0.75 e f-1.0) através de cromatografia de troca iônica deae-celulose. foi verificado que todas as frações são
