PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thresher for threshing grain straws, reducing un-threshed grain straws.SOLUTION: In the thresher, a threshing cylinder 16 includes a plurality of threshing teeth 22 on the outer periphery, and is rotated on a rotation axis 17. A grain-conveying mechanism 11 conveys grain straws 14 along the rotation axis 17 of the threshing cylinder 16. A straw-pressing member 28 is disposed between the threshing cylinder 16 and the grain-conveying mechanism 11. The threshing teeth 22 are flatly formed, and the threshing teeth 22 adjacent to each other in a direction approximately parallel to the rotation axis 17 of the threshing cylinder 16 form V-shaped grooves. The threshing cylinder 16 is rotated in a direction threshing the grain straws 14 in an upper threshing style. A straw-pressing member 28 is disposed to contact with grain straws 14 between the threshing cylinder 16 and the grain-conveying mechanism 11 from the upper side.
