PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for acquiring more accurate information on excellent trees for planting more easily.SOLUTION: A method for forming a new plantation in a place where trees of plantation are fell includes: (a) a process for specifying trees which are better grown than other trees in a plantation before the trees are felled down； (b) a process for picking a part of tissue of the trunk of the individual trees which are better grown than other trees； (c) a process for extracting DNA from the part of the picked tissue； (d) a process for specifying clones of the trees which are better grown than other trees by parts characteristic enough to specify the clones from parts of base arrangement in the DNA； and (e) a process for felling trees in the plantation and planting nursery plants of races which are the same clones as the specified clones in the plantation after felling.
