To quantify features of the three-dimensional structure of a trabecula in a cancellous bone.
SOLUTION: This diagnostic imaging support system is provided with: a mouse 15 for setting a feature quantity and which is set by a feature quantity setting means for executing a predetermined threshold process ON a bone region of a subjects image and which is a statistic value of components other than a bone section in a region including the cancellous bone part of the bone section a CPU 10 which reads the subjects image from a magnetic disk 12 storing subjects images and extracts the region including the bone region from the read image based ON the feature quantity set by the mouse 15 and calculates bone structure analysis information based ON component discrimination information of the bone section component and of components other than the bone section ON the extracted region and a CRT 14 which displays the calculated bone structure analysis information associated with the subjects image.
