PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device capable of, even if the outer shape is downsized, shorting the hard length of the leading end portion of an electronic endoscope and retaining a strength resistance.SOLUTION: An imaging device comprises: an imaging element disposed for an objective optical system a circuit substrate connected to the imaging element and formed with electronic parts and signal line connection terminals and signal lines connected with the circuit substrate within the projection area range of the imaging element. The circuit substrate includes at least a first face extending backward from the imaging element, and second and third faces folded at a predetermined angle with respect to the first face, and is formed into a cylindrical shape having a polygonal section with a plurality planes. The cylindrical shape is formed into the cylinder by folding the edge side portions of the circuit substrate in a manner to face to each other.
