PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nursing care support system that determines whether a person under nursing care has left his/her bed, the apnea and breathing conditions of a person lying on his/her bed, etc. , and sounds the alarm according to the result of determination.SOLUTION: The system is provided with a sensor 100 installed on a bed and a signal processing unit 200 for processing a signal output from the sensor 100. The sensor 100 is provided with a sensor mat 110 comprising a capacitance pressure sensor installed on a bed with its capacitance value changing in response to pressures applied and an oscillation circuit made in one with the capacity pressure sensor and oscillating a frequency signal in accordance with changes in the capacitance value of the capacitance pressure sensor. It is also provided with a sensor body 130 that loads the frequency signal generated from the oscillation circuit through a cable 120 and gives the output of a sampling signal representing frequency at regular intervals.
