Introducing one or more nucleic acids containing a nucleotide sequence operably linked to an active regulatory region in the plant into the plant or part of the plant； c) the plant or the plant. A method comprising culturing a portion of a plant under conditions that allow expression of a nucleotide sequence encoding the protein of interest, thereby producing the protein of interest.
