PURPOSE: A powder composition containing xylitol for teeth cleaning is provided to suppress plaque accumulation and to prevent dental and gingival disorders.CONSTITUTION: A powder composition for teeth cleansing contains 20-80 weight parts of xyliol, 1-20 weight parts of sodium saccharin, 1-20 weight parts of salt, 0.1-0.4 weight parts of fluorine compounds, 1-20 weight parts of silica, and 0.1-4 weight parts of perfume. The powder composition further contains sodium selenite and chitosan or propolis.
