An assistive pointer device consists of an assistive mechanism 1 rotatable around two axes 4,5 preferably mounted on a stable baseboard 2, with a main arm 6 connected to the mechanism and an end effector pointer means 9, 10 connected to the main arm that is position to point a planar surface (8, fig.2) opposing the mechanism, the main arm being capable of reaching around such planar surface. Additionally a handle 11 may also aid the user in moving the pointer. The pointer may be used for touch screen input.
