PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blood purifying apparatus capable of more safely and automatically shifting from a blood removal process to a hemocatharsis treatment process.
SOLUTION: The blood purifying apparatus includes a control means 6 for making the blood removal process and the hemocatharsis treatment process be performed successively by driving a blood pump 3, and blood discriminators 9, 10 attached to the distal end side of an artery side blood circuit 1a or the distal end side of a vein side blood circuit 1b and capable of discriminating whether liquid flowing through the artery side blood circuit 1a or the vein side blood circuit 1b is blood. The control means 6 is capable of automatically shifting from the blood removal process to the hemocatharsis treatment process on condition that it is discriminated in the blood discriminators 9, 10 that the blood is flowing.
