PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fermented malt beverage having a satisfactory astringent taste and a good light pleasant feeling while low in a use ratio of malt to a fermentation raw material and small in malt off-flavor.SOLUTION: A fermented malt beverage having a ratio of malt to a fermentation raw material of less than 50 mass%, a hordatine content of 8 to 10 ppm and a linalool content of 0.5 to 3 ppb is provided; in the fermented malt beverage as mentioned above, a fermented malt beverage having a linalool content of 0.5 to 1.0 ppb is provided; in either of the fermented malt beverages as mentioned above, a fermented malt beverage using hop as a raw material is provided; and in any of the fermented malt beverages as mentioned above, a fermented malt beverage containing the hordatine or linalool as a raw material is provided.SELECTED DRAWING: None
