Disclosed is a fishing rod sinker holder for providing storage of hooks or sinkers on a fishing rod. The holder includes a body formed as part of a fishing rod having an outer surface and inner space and having at least one magnet formed in or attached thereto, to the body. The magnet(s) are covered by the rest of the body or is coated. The fishing rod is adapted to provide a holding surface to allow at least one magnetically attracted sinker to be able to be stored or held onto. The holding surface is located in at least a portion of the outer surface or in at least one recess located on the body. The sinker holder can removably attached via a clamping means.
