The invention relates to ophthalmic drug delvery systems of ciproflaxcin and dexamethasone. It specifically relates to sustained release ophthalmic drug delvery systems of ciproflaxcin and dexamethasone in the form of solution, suspension and long acting gel for efficient treatment of infective keratitis and conjunctivitis. It also relates to process for preparation of sustained release ophthalmic drug delvery systems of ciproflaxcin and dexamethasone in the specific dosage form of solution, suspension and long acting gel for efficient treatment of infective keratitis and conjunctivitis. The sustained release ophthalmic drug delvery systems of ciproflaxcin and dexamethasone were prepared with various concentrations for testing and preferably with 0.35% ciproflaxcin and 0.1% dexamethasone in the form of solution or suspension or long-acting gel with different suitable excipeints. The prepared formulations are evaluated for in vitro and in vivo release profile along with accelarated stability and compared with the solution, ointment and gel prepared only with 0.3% ciproflaxcin.
