PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain further rationalization in a power tool in which a tip tool is driven by an engine.SOLUTION: During driving of a saw chain 105, when a user returns a throttle lever 135 to its initial state by releasing only the throttle lever 135 while keeping pressing a throttle lock lever 136, or when the user returns the throttle lever 135 to the initial state by releasing the throttle lever 135 and releases the pressing of the throttle lock lever 136, driving of an engine 111 is stopped. Thus, further rationalization can be attained in the power tool.【課題】エンジンによって先端工具を駆動させる動力工具における一層の合理化を図る。【解決手段】ソーチェン１０５を駆動しているときに、使用者が、スロットルロックレバー１３６を押圧した状態のまま、スロットルレバー１３５の引き操作だけを止めて初期状態に戻したときや、使用者が、スロットルレバー１３５の引き操作を止めて初期状態に戻すと共に、スロットルロックレバー１３６の押圧を解除したときに、エンジン１１１の駆動を停止する。この結果、動力工具における一層の合理的化を図ることができる。【選択図】図１
