PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope system capable of always eliminating dew condensation on the surface of an endoscope distal end while maintaining flexibility and the narrowness of the diameter of an endoscope.
SOLUTION: In a step S41, a differential value between a temperature inside the body and the temperature of the endoscope distal end is calculated. The differential value is inputted to a microcomputer in a step S42, and the microcomputer determines whether or not to raise the temperature of the distal end from the differential value. When judging to raise the temperature of the distal end, in a step S43, a voltage is applied to a second transistor and a resistor R4 is connected to the base terminal P1 of a first transistor Q4. Thus, a current flowing through an electronic circuit increases and the electronic circuit generates heat. Then, after the fixed time elapses in a step S44, the temperature of the distal end is measured by a distal end thermometer in a step S45. The temperature of the distal end is inputted to the step S41, and the temperature comparison processing is repeated until the temperature difference between the temperature inside the body and the temperature of the distal end becomes fixed.
