PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an MRI apparatus wherein even a subject whose muscle force is weakened and having no predetermined grip strength can use an emergency call switch and thereby, capable of being inspected by the MRI apparatus.SOLUTION: The MRI apparatus includes: an MRI apparatus body an optical detection unit for optically detecting a motion of part of a body of a subject during MRI inspection by the MRI apparatus body and an alarm device for issuing an alarm when the optical detection unit detects the motion of part of the body.
