PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for measuring a blood analyte concentration from a blood sample.SOLUTION: A disposable housing (810) has a piercing element and a measuring element. A reusable housing (820) has a controller, a transponder and a mechanical actuator. A system (800) is coupled to the skin of a user by connecting the disposable housing and the reusable housing. A mechanical actuator manipulates the piercing element to pierce the skin. The measuring element is configured to take blood sampling automatically from the skin after the skin is pierced through by the piercing element. The controller is configured to measure a blood glucose concentration based on the blood taken by the measuring element.
