PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a cellulose mixture that yields highly water-soluble cellulose derivatives with high selectivity when used as raw materials for the production of cellulose derivatives.SOLUTION: A method for producing a cellulose mixture includes the step of mixing raw material cellulose with quaternary ammonium hydroxide and solvent. The solvent includes organic solvent.
