PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oral agent for improving hair-luster having a better deodorant effect relative to that of a prior art technique, good palatability, and an effect of deodorizing excrement and improving hair luster at the same time.SOLUTION: An oral agent for improving hair-luster of a pet with hair is characterized by comprising a bamboo grass extract produced by steaming the same, with the bamboo grass extract produced by steaming leaves and/or culms of bamboo grass for 30 seconds to 1 hour at a temperature condition of 120 to 250°C of dry steam enhanced in dryness using a pressure-reducing valve and a gas-liquid separator.
