PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel composition for sclerotherapy using a photocurable adhesive, and further to provide a catheter containing a light source for promoting rapid curing or activation of the adhesive. The pharmaceutical composition comprises a) a pharmaceutically acceptable tissue adhesive, b) a sclerosing agent, preferably in the form of a foam, and c) optionally a medical gas acceptable for intravenous use. A pharmaceutically acceptable tissue adhesive is injectable, photocurable or photoactivatable, biodegradable and / or biocompatible, and preferably flexible after curing.
