PURPOSE: A producing method of an extract containing high content of chalcone from a by-product of angelica keiskei juice is provided to extract angelica keiskei residues with alcohol. CONSTITUTION: A producing method of an extract containing high content of chalcone from a by-product of angelica keiskei juice comprises the following steps: extracting angelica keiskei residues with a solvent selected from alcohol with 1~6carbons, water, or their mixture； condensing the obtained liquid, for obtaining water-insoluble precipitates； drying the water-insoluble precipitates； and dissolving the dried water-insoluble precipitates, and removing water-soluble components.본 발명은 신선초박에서 칼콘을 높은 농도로 함유하는 추출물 제조방법에 관한 것으로 더욱 상세하게는, 신선초박을 탄소수 1개 내지 6개의 알코올 및 이와 물의 혼합용매로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택된 어느 하나의 용매로 추출하는 단계, 상기 추출물을 농축하고 불용성 침전물을 수득하는 단계 및 상기 불용성 침전물에서 수용성 성분을 제거하는 정제 단계를 포함하는 칼콘 고함유 추출물 제조방법 및 상기 방법에 의하여 제조된 칼콘 고함유 추출물에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 방법은 기존의 녹즙 제조시 나오는 부산물로부터 칼콘을 추출하는데 효과적이다. 또한 본 발명의 추출물은 칼콘이 높은 농도로 함유되어 있어, 간 기능 보호, 혈당 억제, 항암 또는 항산화 효과가 우수하다.
