The present invention relates to a composition for skin whitening comprising leukocidin isolated from an Artemisia capillaris extract as an active ingredient, wherein a method for manufacturing the composition comprises the following steps: (1) manufacturing the Artemisia capillaris extract by adding water, alcohol or a mixed solvent thereof with Artemisia capillaris； and (2) fractionating the Artemisia capillaris extract of the step (1) with an organic solvent to manufacture an Artemisia capillaris fraction.
